Brief: important reading
Three articles you shouldn't miss. Australia's democratic project is under attack from the radical and networked Right.
Another important article from the ABC’s Gareth Hutchens on how neoliberalism made the moment for “populist” revolutions. Now billionaires and their think tanks are riding the movement for their own goals. They share policy.
Max Colbert at the Byline Times giving a Global North update on the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship Conference in London. Lots of influential Australians are there participating in this event:
More from Byline Times, Dave Troy on the Thiel networks, with new revelations about Dialog perhaps being the least disturbing (although Troy does flag that the gatherings could have provided blackmail opportunities). Troy does not mention NatCon or ARC, both of which have Thiel as part of their formation. It doesn’t mention the Atlas Network with the partners of which he has a very long connection. If the Rockbridge Network is co-founded by JD Vance (“Peter Thiel’s pet”), then that’s a Thiel connection too.

Two years till an election? ‘Powers that be’ using polls, ON, RW MSM and online to promote fossil fuel Atlas Koch & Tanton Network (= Project 2025) talking points to brainwash the middle aged+ in regions.
Guess to have target voters ready for an insurgency campaign aka Tea Party, Brexit, Trump, gay marriage plebiscite, Voice No Campaign, Trump 2.0, before the next election (difficult in Oz with preferential voting); looks like right on right action or eating themselves?
Without publicity for those in the background and keeping their hands clean for plausible deniability, or ‘last w*nk of the skipocracy’.
Gareth has nailed it. Neoliberalism was always the pandemic in waiting. And voila, here we are, trickle-down turned out to be a class war, and it’s igniting.
